QUETTA: One more injured of the Friday suicide attack in front of the IGP office succumbed to his injuries on Saturday pushing the death toll to 14.

Deceased Muhammad Jan was admitted to the Civil Hospital after being seriously wounded in Friday’s suicide attack wherein initially 13 people died and 24 were injured, some seriously.

However, the blast victim could not survive the injuries and died in the hospital on Saturday. Hospital authorities handed over the body to relatives after completing all medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, the Cant Police, on behalf of the SHO Muhammad Aslam, registered a case against unidentified people for carrying out suicide bombing in front of the IGP office.

Police and other law enforcement agencies began investigations, while the crime scene has been preserved for examination of the explosion site by a forensic team.

“A forensic team from Lahore will examine the explosion site and collect evidences which would help in the investigation of the incident,” a senior police officer said.
