Eidul Fitr was celebrated by Muslims in various countries on Sunday and Monday.

The festival comes as Pakistan reels from a spate of terror attacks and a deadly oil tanker explosion, which together have left over 200 people dead within the span of a week.

Security has been heightened across the country to provide safety to citizens.

Despite efforts by the government, people in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas celebrated Eid a day before the official holiday recognised by the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee.

Excellent pics as always. However it would be even better if dawn could also include pics from turkey, bosnia, Kosovo, western Europe, central asia, Americas, Australasia, Africa . A few pics from Pakistan and idnia can be reduced to make space for these countries as well.

More than 1 million Muslims in Canada and more than 3 million Muslims in USA gathered in large numbers on Eid morning for prayers. Prayers were held in mosques, open air stadiums, large convention halls, state fair grounds and open space sports theaters all across both countries USA and Canada.
