QUETTA: Two brothers were killed and two others injured in an armed clash between two rival groups in the Makhter area of Loralai district on Monday.

Levies officials said that the two groups clashed with each other in Sika Gali area of Makhter using firearms. The exchange of fire between the groups left two brothers dead and two others injured.

Levies personnel rushed to the area soon after receiving the information of the clash and took the injured and dead to Loralai district hospital.

“Two brothers suffered multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot,” Levies officials said, adding that deceased had been identified as Saeed Muhammad and Sultan Muhammad while the injured include two brothers Muhammad Saleh and Bakhtiar.

The cause of the clash was a dispute over land ownership.

Levies officials have registered a case.
