PESHAWAR: A front-page report regarding a drone strike published in Dawn’s Tuesday issue under the headline, “Drone kills four IS men before US senators’ visit”, had wrongly identified the place as South Waziristan.

The strike, in fact, had occurred in Margha Laman, an area in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.

The drone strike killed Pir Agha, a commander, and three fighters associated with the Afghan Taliban.

The error is regretted.
