Story time

This is regarding the story “Who’s there?” by Zainab Rasheed (YW, June 10).

It was a long story but it kept my interest up till the end and I enjoyed reading the touch of suspense in it.

I request the YW team to publish more stories like this one in the magazine.

I love to read horror stories and “Who’s there?” by Zainab Rasheed had a touch of horror in it. Since there have not been any horror stories for quite a long time in the magazine, this one really made my day.

I request the YW team to also publish horror stories for kids like me who are interested in reading this genre.

Re-open college hostel

Atta Shad Degree College is the largest college in Turbat, but it is unfortunate that the hostel was closed four years ago. The students are thus compelled to live in rented rooms.

Most students from other parts of the province can’t afford the rent of the rooms but have to put this financial burden on their families.

If getting education is made so hard for the youth of an underdeveloped area such as Turbat, how will they and the region progress?

I request the deputy commissioner of Kech to take notice of this hardship faced by the college students and open the hostel immediately.

Make this vacation worthwhile

This is regarding the cover story “Make this vacation worthwhile” by Sadia Maqsood (YW, June 10).

It was a nice article, in fact a reminder about spending one’s vacation in a better way and not wasting time loitering around.

I agree that it is a good idea to de-clutter our room, and then our house. I always de-clutter my room and my siblings’ stuff during the vacation and feel so light and happy afterwards.

My father’s love

This is regarding the story “My father’s love” by Iman Ashraf (YW, June 17).

The story was well-written and conveyed the message that we should always accept the words of our parents and never go against them.

Their decisions are based on experience and concern for our protection and best interest.

So we should never ignore their precious suggestions and always try to obey them with lots of love.
