RAWALPINDI: The prime minister’s elder son Hussain Nawaz returned to Islamabad from London on Monday.

He had left for London from Islamabad on Thursday via Doha, sparking speculation that he would visit the former Qatari prime minister in order to convince him to record his statement before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

Mr Hussain returned on Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-786 just a few hours before the JIT was to submit its report on the Panama Papers inquiry in the Supreme Court.

PML-N leaders have claimed the JIT report is incomplete without the former Qatari prime minister’s statement.

Hussain Nawaz has appeared before the JIT six times since it started its investigations.

The premier’s younger son Hassan Nawaz left for London via Abu Dhabi by Etihad Airways flight EY-234 on Monday from Islamabad.
