Two PPP leaders from Punjab announced their switch to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday.
Former PPP minister Moazzam Jatoi and former MNA Amir Yar Waran on met PTI Chairman Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence and formally announced their joining of his party.
PTI Secretary general Jehangir Tareen met with the former PPP leaders, and the three then made their way to Bani Gala where the newly-inducted members of the PTI met Khan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi was also present at the meeting between Khan, Jatoi and Waran.
The two leaders claimed to have full faith in PTI and the party mandate, and the PTI chief welcomed them into his party.

I hope under the leadership of Imran Khan they would prove to be as reformed as the Chief Minister of KP, Mr. Pervez Khattack has been.

That is the core reason that CORRUPTION is so deep rooted in Pakistan as CORRUPTION is always used to settle personal enmities and grudges no one is ever serious to make a system where there is not SPACE for corrupt people. Irony is that this is the same PARTY which is fighting in SC against corruption.

PTI is 90% PPP , with IK as a leader instead of Zardari. Meaning Zardari is the real cause of PPP downfall.

@mana Brother right path in Pakistan will NEVER be achieved by being in opposition, we have seen how crooks support the sitting govt, IK needs to get into power if he is going to make any difference, otherwise the muk muka team will just carry on taking turns and looting the country...i personally think IK will make a great leader, and i wish him well.

What a face of PTI, accepting others freely, after all will get certificate of Mr Cleans. Remainder of ppp leaders should join too minus AZ and sons.
Bottomline, all politicians in this country are dubious, so why uk should be different. Every things fair love and politics

IK is forgetting something which is panamagate has done whatever damage it could have done to pmln but pti did not get much what he could have achieved from all this. sooner things will go back to old politics then how this trash will get vote from people in next election? PPP is wiped out from Punjab due to these people who are joining pti. Babar Awan is same guy who was banned by SC for fraud with court and now he running all pti legal affairs.

i hope these inclusions in the party wont derail it from its mission. I dont support it but in order to clear dirt, your hands would get dirty. our political system is designed in such a way that to make government parties need electables. No body vote on manifesto. there should be a system where instead of nominating candidates, people just vote to the party and its manifesto. No names. when the party with best manifesto wins should select its best candidate for MNA's seat.

@mana well he stayed on the difficult path for over 15 years and made very little progress. It's not his fault as long as we have an illiterate population then electables will be needed.

Every politician will now be thinking of joining the PTI, since the party will be seen as the one whic brought down the Sharif dynasty. However, the people joining the PTI are the very same who defended the corruption of the PPP government. Soon PTI will be PPP in disguise.
