LAHORE: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a member of a banned outfit from Chiniot and seized arms and explosives.

A CTD spokesman said they received information that a Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) member was planning to carry out a terrorist activity in Faisalabad. A police team raided a bus stand after receiving information and arrested the suspect, Abdul Manan.

He said they also seized four detonators, 12 feet of safety fuse, 1,700 grammes of explosive powder and 450g bars from his possession. They registered a case against the suspect and shifted him to an undisclosed location for interrogation, the spokesman added.
