Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani has accepted ex-PPP senator Babar Awan's resignation after the two met in Rabbani's chamber in Parliament House on Thursday.
Awan had submitted his resignation after he joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf last month. Since he was travelling abroad, he could not appear in person to confirm his resignation when called earlier.
Chairman senate has sent Awan's file to the senate secretariat after Awan confirmed that he had resigned without any pressure and of his own accord. The chairman will formally announce Awan's resignation in the upcoming senate session.

He will demand justice from now onward - earlier he wasn't in favour of it, or did not believe his party - PPP - should have anything to do with justice!!!

God bless him and show him the right path.
It is said that he is the guy who distributed sweets on Bhutto' death, known as judicial murder. He then became a cleaner in Benazir's kitchen and his cries on her killing Asif Zardari rewarded him with a ministerial post. Zardari found him untrustworty and took away his rank. He stayed on in the party for a while hoping to get some high office in due course. Judging that PPP has lost its appeal he joined PtI. Many politician do that but when a person like him who wastes no time in projecting himself to be a man of high values, one can only shed tears for Pakistani politics.
