SWABI: The residents of Chota Lahor city on Thursday blocked the Swabi-Jehangira Road for around an hour to protest the suspension of electric supply for the last two days.

The protesters gathered at the Chota Lahor bus stop and marched from there to Swabi- Jehangira Road, where they staged a demonstration.

Shouting slogans and holding placards, they accused the Pesco officials of deliberately delaying the restoration of electricity supply to their area.

The protesters warned that the road blockade would continue if power supply wasn’t restored.

They however dispersed after the Pesco officials showed up and assured them of early resolution of the problem.
