GUJRAT: Four gunmen looted cash and valuables worth Rs3.5 million from two bankers’ houses at Alnabi Colony on Saturday.

The gunmen barged into the house of Zaheer Ahmed Sandhu and held the family hostage.

After looting valuables from the house, the gunmen broke into the house of Adeel Khalid Butt at the ground floor of the building and made off with Rs2 million cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 1.5 million from both houses and fled in a silver car.Police are looking into the robberies.

Earlier, gunmen have looted houses in Shadman Colony and along Railway Road in the last few days whereas a foriegn currency exchange operator had been robbed off Rs5.7 million in Ramazan.
