Founder and president of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) Shahjehan Syed Karim passed away in Karachi on Monday morning.

His funeral prayers and burial will take place on Tuesday at 1pm at the IoBM campus in Karachi's Korangi Creek area, IoBM's Manager Public Relations Parvez Jamil said.

Shahjehan Karim had been a member of the Civil Service for over 37 years.

He was the founder and president of the Foundation for Higher Education and has remained the federal secretary of information, chairman of Pakistan Television and the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation.

He also worked with the United Nations as an international civil servant for almost 10 years.
