I WOULD like to draw Pemra’s attention towards two issues. According to Pemra rules, any programme in which there is a smoking scene, TV channels should display a message about the dangers of smoking.
Pemra should also ensure that if not all the passengers in a moving vehicle then at least the front passengers should always be shown with fastened seat belts.
Showing a person using cellphone while driving should be completely banned by Pemra. S/he can be shown talking on a phone only by using hands free or through the car’s audio system.
Besides, a message should be displayed educating the audience about the hazards of using cellphone while driving.
