GWADAR, the heart of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, is not only having an important economicl value but widely known for its significant geographical location in the world. Our government has planned to turn this into a mega city. Although it is being compared with Singapore and Dubai, in reality the people of Gwadar do not have basic necessities of life. Among them , the water crisis is the worst. Lack of it has made residents’ life difficult. They wait for hours to get a bottle of water. Although the govt is providing them water through tankers from Mirani Dam, this is not enough.
The provincial government should look into the problem and settle it once and for all.
