A seven-year-old abducted from Bahria Town Rawalpindi around a week ago has been returned to her parents, Rawalpindi police said on Friday.
The young girl had been abducted from outside her house in Bahria Town in Rawalpindi on July 28 by men on motorcycles. Her parents and family had subsequently taken to social media to appeal for help and information leading to her recovery.
While the campaign gained strength on social media, there was no development in the case till August 4, when pictures of the minor and her family circulated on social media accompanied by her parents' messages that she had returned safely.
Police said the family had ransomed the girl for Rs1.5 million.
The identity of her abductors is as yet unknown.

One of the feature that the community of Behria Town pay for is the security. Where was that security? Is it not enough for Behria town management to think and re-evaluate the security measures?

We are thankful she is safe and with her parents. Police action may have God forbid a different outcome. People who abducted could hurt the poor child.

Ahough we had no direct connections but still our family especially my wife, were highly concerned for the well being of this child and her bewildered family members.
Alhamdolillah the girl has returned home safe and sound.
Detailed and proper inquiry should be made in order to prevent such incidents from occurring again
