COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa pins badges on Lt Gen Nadeem Raza.—INP

HYDERABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Sindh Regimental Centre, Hyderabad, on Thursday and laid floral wreath on Yadgar-i-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of Sindh Regiment who laid down their lives for the defence of the motherland.

The COAS later pinned ranks to Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza as Colonel Commandant of the Sindh Regiment at a special ceremony which was attended by a large number of serving and retired officers and soldiers of Sind Regiment.

Speaking on the occasion, Gen Bajwa appreciated contributions of Sindh Regiment towards defence and security of the country.

Earlier, on his arrival in Hyderabad, the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza, Corps Commander of Karachi, says a press release.
