The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Saturday accepted Pakistan's concerns and agreed to shift Under-19 Asia Cup from India to Malaysia, sources in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed DawnNews.
PCB had raised security concerns for the Pakistani team's safety if the cup was held in India, which were accepted by the ACC in a meeting in Colombo.
"We are asking for a neutral venue for the Under-19 World Cup, rather than holding it in India," PCB Chairman Najam Sethi had said in a press conference after being elected on Wednesday.

both countries need to develop people to people contact including sports and cultural exchanges as most people from both side of the border want peace and friendly relations between the two countries

Win for Pakistan indeed. But at the time when Indian cricket board flexing its power muscle, I reckon it's going to be a huge setback for Pakistan. Remember BCCI is still the strongest and influential member on board.

"The matter of shifting the tournament to Malaysia was amicably agreed by all participants in the development and executive committees, since no one wanted it marred by security considerations of any member," Sethi told ESPNcricinfo.

Only one message to India compete in the ground and stop hiding behind the wall and keep sending statements. I am sure they will remember their last defeat for long time and maybe they are scared from more like this that's why don't want to play against Pakistan.

Indian Sports Minister Vijay Goel's wish just came true. Wasn't he the first one to say india can't hold any cricketing ties with Pakistan in India?

@zf And by the way, it was an Indian Chairperson, who took initiatives to wreck the so called big three. So what true value you are talking about. Give credit where it is due. Don't just bring out the hammer for nothing.

@shantanu : I agree and my dear neighbor people from both sides of the border is not the problem it is the government who is playing games with people emotions for their sick gains and both governments are equally involve. While they act like enemy but behind the doors a lot of politics at play and common person is suffering.

What is the logic behind shouting that they have got this moved out of India? When u know india is a powerhouse and if u keep shouting, there will come a occasion when they will hit back.

Preach your message to the Indian cricket board. They are the ones who are holding off the bi-lateral series between the two countries.

@tariq it is so interesting to see that since chairman of ACC is Pakistani and he used his influence to take this tournament out of India.
Good that at least you have hold on Asian cricket council.
Let us see how far it goes. Anyways u will not going to conduct this tournament in your own country as no body is going to visit you for that.
Good to see this attitude

It is a welcome move, if true. This puts paid to Pakistan's claim of losing millions of dollars because of India's refusal to play any bilateral series with it and sinks any hope of any rapprochement in the near future. Indians don't miss not playing against Pakistan and can't continue to fill PCB's coffers by playing against Pakistani team because most of the revenue will have to come from Indian telecast rights. Why should Indians fund PCB? Moreover this tournament is not going to be a money grosser and hence we don't miss it!
