QUETTA: Two suspected terrorists were arrested and a huge quantity of weapons, including suicide jackets, was seized during a raid on a compound in Chaman on Sunday.

Official sources said that personnel of Frontier Corps and intelligence agencies conducted the raid during a search operation on a tip-off about the presence of the suspects and illegal weapons in the Killi Meer Alizai area on the outskirts of Chaman town.

The arrested men are said to be members of a banned organisation.

The arms seized included 671 anti-personnel mines, three suicide jackets, 1,905kg of gunpowder and explosive material.
