SUKKUR: A widow reached the Women Police Centre here on Tuesday and sought protection from her relatives.

Mai Katoran, who was the widow of Bajhi Khan Lund and resident of Khanpur Mahar, Ghotki district, was accompanied by her two daughters.

She told the police and the media that she was a mother of five and her husband had died two years ago after which her husband’s brothers Allah Ditto and Basroo, and their cousins Mohammad Bux and Hussain Bux had tried to sell her forcibly.

The woman added that her relatives would kill her if she was asked to return and requested the police to send her to Darul Aman.
