SARGODHA: The University of Sargodha (UoS) on Wednesday announced BA, BSc results where female students dominated the top ranks.

According to Controller Examinations Waqar Ahmad, total number of candidates that appeared in the examination was 29,986 out of which 34.44 per cent succeeded.

In BA, the pass percentage was 30.43, whereas in BSc the percentage was 42.77. The ratio of successful male and female candidates is 24.08pc and 41.84pc, respectively.

Sadia Malik, Aqsa and Nadeem Masih clinched top three positions in BA. Whereas, Nimra Malik, Hasan Nazir, Tayesha Hafeez, Asima Iqbal and Aqsa Zeenat secured first three positions in BSc examination.

UoS Vice Chancellor Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad, while congratulating the position holders and their parents, awarded cash prizes of Rs30,000 to the first position holder, Rs20,000 to the second and Rs10,000 to the third, along with special shields and merit certificates.

NEW GIRLS COLLEGE: Classes of FA, FSc part one will commence from September in the newly built Government Degree College for Women, Mela Mandi Road.

The college has been built with a grant of Rs140 million with the capacity of 2,000 students.
