GWADAR: Two soldiers of the Frontier Corps (FC) were martyred when militants ambushed a convoy of security personnel in the Dasht-i-Seyahloo area of Kech district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that the FC convoy was on its way to Mirani dam from Balngur when militants opened fire on the vehicles.

The FC personnel returned fire and two soldiers lost their lives while guarding the convoy. The militants, however, managed to escape.

Bodies of Mohammad Aslam and Abdul Wajid were shifted to a Turbat hospital.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the militants. A few suspects were taken into custody for interrogation during the combing action.
