Ten suspected militants were killed in an operation carried out by security forces in Balochistan's Harnai district on Thursday evening, a security official told DawnNews.

Three camps allegedly being used by militants in the area were also destroyed, and a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered during the operation. The bodies of the deceased 'militants' were shifted to Harnai hospital, the official said.

The militants were involved in bomb explosions, targeted killings and other acts of terrorism in the area, the security official said.

Earlier, a vehicle of the Frontier Corps had come under attack in the area on Aug 14. Eight personnel were martyred in the event.
