Yes, I went to memory lane and scored 8/8, as this reminded me all the events happened during 1965 war. I was a school boy full of enthusiasm, energy and was willing to fight for my country, although, I was small, but ready to do anything. I witnessed, unity, brotherhood, patriotism and determination to sacrifice that is required in such difficult situations. Pakistan Zindabad!

@rehaan Pakistan paid back in the same coin at Chawinda where Indian armour was obliterated by the Pakistani tankers. Pakistan gave better than it got from India in the 1965 war. No amount of doctoring that history will change the reality. You have patton nagar, we have knocked-out and captured Indian Centurion and AMX-13 tanks across multiple cantonments and Army museums in Pakistan.

I love reading Dawn and it presents some of the best news ..

I was in class 5 and still remember those war days. We were residing at PAF base Masroor Karachi and have experienced the war very well. I really wanted to do something for my country but was too young. However were cheering up the artillery soldiers posted on the base. I witnessed patriotism and determination to sacrifice for nation. I wished I was old enough at that time fighting shoulder to shoulder with our brave soldiers/ Pakistan Zindabad. I still remembers patriotic songs of that time full of zeal and enthusiasm. I have no words to explain my feelings for the country at that time.

Full marks to me in the quiz. Result of the war, both countries won in their school textbooks. Pakistan opened the front at kashmir and india at lahore. Both countries wasted tax payers money and provided profits to the arm seller.

The war started in Kashmir which went well for the first week for Pakistan, but Indian strategists attacked along the rest of the border forcing Pakistan to re-work the defenses instead of the initial offensive push in Kashmir. This resulted in a stalling effect on the whole war with both sides losing extensive resources, manpower and will to continue the war for long. The war ended soon thereafter with more grief on both sides than any solution to basic issues and reasons for the war.

I am from Khemkaran and I have a picture of my haveli brought down to ground by Pakistani forces during the 1965 war. Wish I could post the picture here and show to readers from both countries that war is the worst thing to happen to anyone. Stop this hatred and let's prosper together.

Scored 7/8, I was young 12 years Cadet in Cadet College petaro, joined college on Sep1.. Got war briefing during morning briefing by Adjutant. Later with pics etc and getting mature in rest of the college years, changed my mind set on defending the country and how....... I love this country but after 50years, hurts to see what have we made this country....

Good quiz

Nice one. I was 11 years old and lived in Mughalpura, Laborers. Saw Pakistan army movement on 6 September on the Mughalpura Road joining Labore Cant to GT Road near Shalimar Gardens. I was in the school on 6th Srptemberywhen first air attack on Lahore took place. Also remember making tanks with empty cigarette packets and putting one paisa each day from my pocket money in the boxes that were set up in streets to collect money for armed forces. Proud to be a Pakistani. Pakistan Zindabad.
