Graveyard for Peshawar city

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed for identification of about 500-kanal land for dedicated graveyard for Peshawar city on the pattern of Islamabad graveyard.

He also called for making necessary preparation for giving legal cover to the Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell following its impressive performance with regard to dispute resolution, recovery of Rs1 billion and giving the money back to the complainants.

The chief minister gave these directives during his visit to the Chief Minister’s Complaints Cell at the CM Secretariat in Peshawar. Provincial minister for excise and taxation Mian Jamshaiduddin, MPAs Shaukat Yousafzai and Arbab Jehandad and administrative secretaries also accompanied Mr Khattak.

The chief minister attended a number of complaints directly from the complainants through phone calls and issued directives to take a legal course for the resolution of their problems.

Chief Minister Complaints Cell’s chairman Dil Roz Khan briefed the chief minister about the working of the cell, dispute resolution mechanism and the recovery made in the process. It was said that the cell had settled about 22,000 petty nature cases of poor people.
