KOHAT: A businessman was injured while his Afghan guard was killed in an ambush in Ghazi Colony over an old enmity here on Saturday.

The cantonment police quoted the wounded Yousuf Shinwari as saying that he was coming to the district courts when his rivals started indiscriminate fire at them. Resultantly, his guard, Noor Wali, died on the spot whereas he received injuries.

The police reached the scene but by then the accused had already escaped. The injured businessman nominated Inayatullah, Amanullah, Nazraf Khan and Usman in the case.

The police took both to the KDA teaching hospital where the body of the deceased was handed over to relatives after postmortem.
