Three security officials were injured when a vehicle belonging to security forces hit a landmine in Kurram Agency on Tuesday, sources in the political administration said.

The injured were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Kohat as forces launched a search operation in the area.

'Militants killed in Balochistan'

Two suspected militant commanders belonging to a banned outfit were killed by security forces in Balochistan's Dera Bugti district during an operation today, security sources said.

Two militant camps were destroyed in the area, and forces also recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from the demolished camps, the sources said, claiming that the suspected militants were involved in a series of terrorist activities in Dera Bugti area.

The dead were shifted to Dera Bugti hospital.

The army had launched Operation Raddul Fasaad in February following a spate of terror attacks in the country, which claimed more than a hundred lives and left hundreds injured.

The operation seeks to eliminate the "residual/latent threat of terrorism", consolidating the gains made in other military operations, and further ensuring the security of Pakistan's borders.
