A family in Peshawar was temporarily apprehended by staff at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar on September 18 for possessing a bag containing mosquitoes suspected to be carriers of a lethal disease, the director of the hospital, Dr Shahzad Akbar, told DawnNews on Wednesday.
A man, his wife, son and daughter, all residents of Peshawar's Pishtakhara area, told the security guard at the hospital that they had been promised payment for letting the virus-spreading mosquitoes loose in the hospital, according to Dr Akbar.
However, after questioning the family, the guard released them with a warning.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government recently declared a health emergency in the province due to an epidemic of mosquito-borne diseases, most notably dengue.

The poor chap had brought the mosquito along with a patient out of curiosity and someone got him arrested to score some points. This was stated publicly by an on duty Doctor.

Born at Quetta is not a prove about nationality of a person as this city is being termed as capital of Baluchistan. We have to be proud, what we are.
Presence of mind is very necessary to settle any mistake or to encounter any situation arisen due to our wrong action. CCTV cameras and other security gadgets can find out suspected people and the truth behind the story narrated by some senior medical official and spread by the media without ascertainment of route cause or theme behind the whole exercise.

Those caught should not have been released. It is a serious offence and they should have been questioned by intelligence agencies and they should have established a link to catch the people behind this act. A charge of attempted murder and intend to murder should have been filed against those culprits. We let culprits go by simple warning, which is a root cause of increasing crimes in our society.
