Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif's wife, Begum Kulsoom, arrived at a London hospital on Wednesday for her third surgery.
In a video shared by Maryam Nawaz, the Sharifs' daughter, Begum Kulsoom appears to be accompanied by her husband, Nawaz, who is holding her hand, and one of her sons.
"Arrived at the hospital for ammi's third surgery. Request for prayers," Maryam tweeted.
Begum Kulsoom, who recently won the NA-120 by-poll, is undergoing treatment for cancer in the United Kingdom.
She was diagnosed with early-stage lymphoma in August, with doctors hopeful that it would be curable.

So, in essence, NS has fronted his ailing wife - who has trouble even walking 10 feet without help - to retain control of the seat of power. Using an ailing wife who needs only care and attention, rest and recuperation - but is being used instead for political purposes.
You cannot get more heartless and selfish than this.

I pray for her full recovery. However, I am wondering why an ordinary civil servant needs to pass medical exam but an elected public representative has no such condition attached. Duties of an elected official are much more demanding, physically and mentally, than those of a government servant. May be I am missing something and someone can help me understand this anomaly.,

our prayers for her to for the surgery to be successful and for her recovery and health
But can someone please enlighten me on the wisdom of nominating a cancer patient as a candidate. To me it is highly insensitive, selfish and callous just for selfish and political reasons. And as to the asinine behaviour and foolishness of the people and voters . What they expect that such an ill person do to represent them, do any work or participate in the National Assembly. But who cares about this. We are all vassals of the bad Shah and have given ourselves in slavery and bondage for at east if not 100 years

I wish her the best but I am sorry to say that in present health condition she does not qualify to serve in the Parliament and fulfill the responsibilities of the job as an MNA. This is a life and health issue and many leaders in other nations resign from office when similar situations require. They do this in all due honesty towards their people they have to serve when they cannot do a job for them. Unfortunately only in Pakistan emotional appeal supersedes reality logic and reasoning.

Check out the protocol !! No, that was a joke.
First of all, can the former PM roam like this in Pakistan? No. 3500+ policemen stay there for protection.
Secondly, it is a pity that the party who had 3 times PM and 5 times CM of Punjab couldn't make a hospital in Pakistan where the ruling elite could be treated.

Open your eyes people before its too late and the damage becomes irreversible. God help Pakistan from its external and "internal" enemies because internal enemies are a greater threat to the existence of Pakistan. I fail to understand why we demanded a seperate state when we cannot take care of it. Please don't let go to waste the sacrifices of the founders of this nation.
