PESHAWAR: The students of government girls degree colleges of Charsadda and Hayatabad secured top positions in the BA/BSc annual examination results announced by the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University here on Wednesday.

Controller of examinations Dr Rubi Bilal announced the results at a ceremony held at the university, according to a press release.

On the occasion, varsity vice-chancellor Razia Sultana distributed cash prizes among the position holding students.

According to the results, of the 7,387 students appeared in the annual examinations, 4,926 got successful with pass percentage of 67 per cent.

In BSc part 2, Kainat Sami of Government Girls Degree College, Charsadda No1, secured first position, obtaining 473 marks; Khushbo Akbar of Government Girls Degree College, Nowshera, with 464 marks stood second and another student of the same college, Sana Bibi, with 462 marks secured third position.

In BA part 2 results, Nousheen , a student of Government Girls Degree College, Hayatabad Peshawar, with 405 marks secured first position, Kalsoom Bibi of the same college with 403 marks stood second and Hafiza Hajira Arshad of Iqra Degree College, stood third, respectively.

The vice chancellor gave away Rs10,000, Rs7,000 and Rs5,000 to the students securing first, second and third positions, respectively.
