Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that forcibly converting Hindu girls to Islam after abducting them had nothing to do with Islam, instead, "it was a wrongdoing".
He was addressing a religious ceremony of Hindu community held in connection with the religious festival of Diwali.
Khan further said that any circumstances that lead to creating unrest among religious minorities should be avoided, reported DawnNews.
"The extremists are mistaken that forcibly converting someone to Islam will bring them virtue," he maintained.
The PTI chief said that he would empower the weak segments of Sindh along with him.
He was of the view that injustices to the Hindu community in Pakistan should be brought to an end. The weak segments of the society were affected due to the challenged writ of the law in the country, he said.
Quaid-i-Azam was considered as an ambassador of the Hindu-Muslim unity, he added.

The so called statement is beyond the ground realities. None of those cases is there when a girl was abducted on gun point to change religion. only the will of girls is honoured which is being mis-interpreted by certain politicians

Good that Imran Khan has raised the issue of FORCED CONVERSION, this a major issue faced by the minority community in Sindh. Definitely many minority community members would vote for PTI and Imran Khan for raising the issue. The Sindh government has failed to address this issue and hence Imran Khan has used this issue to highlight the failure of the Sindh government.

@Kamran He is better than the two other political parties. What Imran Khan saya and is trying to accomplish makes a lot of sense but unfortunately he is not always realistic in his timeline. It will take Pakistan at least 5 year to build a somewhat solid infrastructure assuming we get rid of corruption. Checks and balances platform will prevent further corruption once the adequate infrastructure is in place. Additionally, people of Pakistan have to change their thinking. All of us will make a better Pakistan soon Inshallah.

What is needed or what has to be done actually is to take some solid and practical steps to curb this inhumane practice.
Simply by giving statements, speeches and verbal emotional claims can not solve the problem. Why can't Imran raise a voice in Assemblies and why can't there be some sort of practical measures like special people to provide legal support to chase those who do forcible conversion. If not this, why can't there be awareness spread at wider scales to inform the masses that it a sin to convert someone by using force.
