IED defused in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The bomb disposal squad defused an improvised explosive device near the Ring Road here on Tuesday.

Giving details, an official of the Pharipura police station said that the explosive device weighing about five kilogrammes was found along the Ring Road, close to the MMC Hospital.

He said that the bomb disposal unit reached the scene following the report and defused the device.

Earlier, a grenade apparently targeting owner of the hospital had injured at least three people on Sept 29.
