It was a pleasant morning and children were in a hurry to enter the school. Faris was on time usually, but that day was a bit unusual.

When he entered his class, he saw Hammad arguing with Mohsin. Faris was a polite and well-mannered boy who usually minded his own business, but the manner in which Hammad was insulting Mohsin made him intervene.

Hammad rudely ignored him and went to his seat, so Faris asked Mohsin what he was asking for. To his astonishment, he found that Mohsin was asking for Hammad’s Urdu notebook to check what the homework was because he was absent the day before. Faris consoled him and offered his own notebook to Mohsin.

During the recess, Faris and his friend Shamil were having their lunch when they saw somebody push Hammad, who dropped his lunch on his uniform. The boy ran away. Hammad looked very upset and his clothes got stained with food. Faris felt pity and walked towards Hammad to ask him to join them for lunch. Shamil was a bit reluctant because of his behaviour earlier in the day, but agreed when both the boys offered their food to him very nicely.

The generosity and kindness shown by Faris and Shamil made Hammad realise that what he did in morning was absolutely arrogant and felt ashamed of his behaviour. So he immediately apologised Faris and then went to Mohsin to apologise to him too.

No doubt by doing good deeds and showing positive thinking, we can spread goodness in the world.
