The train stopped and we all came out, tired and thirsty from the long, tiring journey. I was very excited to see Paris. We checked into a hotel called The Hotel Magnificent. Like the city itself, our room was also marvellous. It had big windows, colourful walls, pretty beds and many decorations that depicted the aesthetics of European culture.

We unpacked our stuff and spent the day merrily by wandering around. When it was midnight, we came back to our warm, cosy beds, snuggled down under the blankets and fell asleep.

The next day came with a big surprise for all of us. My father informed us that he was taking us to Disneyland and other exciting places. Obviously, on hearing news like this, how can one remain calm? As a result, I was so thrilled that I hardly finished my breakfast and started bugging dad to start our tour. So my family too hurried with the breakfast, and after a while we left to take a train to Disneyland.

When we reached the theme park, all of us were surprised to see the amazing rides. They were so grand and unique in their own way.

Our first ride was called ‘Tower of Terror’. As the name suggests, the ride was thrilling. Visitors had to walk through a row of spiders and cobwebs leading to the two elevators (a ride), and it was called, ‘Twilight Sparkle’. We all sat in the elevator, holding the handles tightly and waiting for the ride to start.

Whoosh! The drop tower went up in the air like lightening. I sat there steadily, my heart thumped so fast and during this time we saw images of ghosts appearing on the door of the elevator. The speed was so thrilling that we felt like our hearts would come out from our chests.

Then we went to another ride called ‘Raven Rallies’ — a rollercoaster. I hope you can imagine how fantastic it is to sit in a rollercoaster, I literally have no words to explain my thrilling experience.

Then we went to ‘Slippery Slide’. In this ride, we sat in a boat which slipped through a slide full of water. What fun it was when the water splashed all over us!

We had a lot of fun in all the amazing rides that we sat on. For example, ‘Flowery Flight’ had flower carriages that went up in the air like flowing carpets; ‘Miraculous Motorcycles’ comprised open roof motorcycles that went sideways like a pirate ship; ‘Octopus Ocean’, a rollercoaster, that went from a very high height into an artificial ocean; ‘Tumbly Twister’, again a rollercoaster, went upside down and so many others.

We also visited the ‘Haunted House’, which was really scary. The entire day was amazing, and I can say that I had never enjoyed so much before in my life.

The last stop of the day was the Eiffel Tower, a magnificent wonder! The view from the top floor was beautiful as one can see the whole of Paris — lights glittering like twinkling stars in the sky.

By now we were very hungry and wanted to eat something, so we decided to have waffles. Believe me friends, waffles tastes so delicious, just like dark Belgium chocolate.

After that we had dinner and went back to our rooms, because the next day was our flight back to Karachi. I had a lovely trip to Paris which I will never forget in my whole life.
