QUETTA: The Balochistan government has constituted a team for investigating the suicide attack in which DIG Hamid Shakeel Sabir and two other policemen were martyred on Thursday.

Official sources said that a senior police officer, Jawad Alam, would head the investigation while officers from special branch, CTD and representatives of departments concerned would be part of it.

Besides, a three-member team of the Forensic Science Agency arrived in Quetta to probe the attack and visited the explosion site on Saturday and collected evidences.

The team will submit its report to the interior ministry which will send it to the provincial home department.

Meanwhile, security forces took some suspects into custody for interrogation in connection with the attack.
