TAXILA: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed on Sunday handed over a coffin carrier bus to the Municipal Committee Attock, inaugurated three tube wells and four transformers, all of which were installed at a cost of Rs26.4 million.

Municipal Committee Attock Chairman Sheikh Nasir Mehmood, PML-N Attock senior vice president Saleem Shahzad and other notables were present on the occasion.

Talking about the criticism his party has faced, Mr Ahmed said: “Uncalled-for criticism of public welfare projects is opposition to progress and prosperity”.

He said the country has exported 700,000 tons of fertiliser when it had imported a million tons before. He said gas has been provided to 126 villages in his constituency of NA-57 in the last four years at the cost of billions of rupees.

The minister announced a grant of Rs50 million for Municipal Committee Attock for the provision of facilities to residents of Attock.
