If you have got to have a pizza, you have just got to have a pizza. So what do you do when the urge is strong, but appetite is small? You can put together a different version of this popular food item with whatever is available at home, provided you have two main ingredients — cheese and tomato ketchup.

This week we are showing you how to make pizza by using crackers or any salty biscuits you have at home, in place of the traditional pizza dough/bread. The rest of the ingredients basically depend upon what is in your fridge and pantry.

It is also easy to assemble and takes only 30 seconds in the microwave to let the cheese melt and give you a mouth-watering treat.

Crackers pizza is also excellent as a starter and party snack.

Ingredients

• 8 crackers, or as many as you want

• 1/2 cup cooked chicken pieces, any flavour

• 1/2 cup grated cheese, mozzarella or cheddar

• 1/2 cup tomato ketchup or chilli garlic sauce

• 1/2 teaspoon oregano powder

• 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions

Method:

Spread tomato ketchup on the top side of the crackers, add one teaspoon chicken pieces on top, I used tikka flavour. Add 1/2 teaspoon chopped spring onions and top with about one teaspoon grated cheese. Sprinkle a pinch of oregano powder over each cracker. You can add tomatoes, mushrooms, or chilli flakes and anything else you want.

Place it all in a microwave proof plate and cook for 30 seconds until the cheese on top melts. Don’t overcook as the crackers will get too soft.

See how easy it is to make, all by yourself and so fast too! Bon apatite!
