Research centres

Published November 21, 2017

THIS is apropos the letter Research Centres (Nov 18) in which the writer has complained that there was not a single research institute at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro.

I would like to inform him that there are two main research centres working actively, namely the Institute of Advanced Research Studies in Chemical Sciences and the National Centre of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Sindh. Most university departments and institutions like the Dr M.A. Kazi Institute of Chemistry have been actively involved in research since 1953 and have produced many eminent research scientists. The university has well-developed research laboratories.
