PESHAWAR: Residents of Badhber area have asked the National Highway Authority (NHA) to take necessary measures to make journey on the Kohat Road safe for both the pedestrians and the motorists.
In a statement issued here, Allauddin Khan, a member of Badhber Maryamzai community, and other residents, asked the NHA authorities to install cat eyes on the road as these were installed on the adjacent University Road.
They also asked the authority to look into possibility of building an overhead bridge which can be used by the pedestrians, particularly students, to reach their schools and to avoid traffic jam as there was a girls high school near the Spin Jumat (white mosque) bus stop.
They also asked for making proper u-turns on the road to avoid unnecessary traffic jams and accidents. They said that encroachments on both sides of the roads should also be removed.
