QUETTA: Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa inaugurated on Monday the first-ever workshop on national security for the parliamentarians of Balochistan. The workshop has been arranged by the National Defence University and will continue till Dec 8.

A large number of National Assembly and Balochistan Assembly members, academia of Balochistan University and Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, tribal elders, media people, civil society members and bureaucrats attended the workshop.

Former foreign secretary and Pakistan’s ambassador to China, India, United States and other countries Riaz Khokar spoke on “Transforming Global Balance of Power: Pakistan’s Perspective.” He spoke about the prevailing situation and made suggestions about improving the country’s foreign policy.
