TAXILA: The Karachi to Peshawar Khushal Khan Khattak Express derailed near the Attock Railway Station on Thursday. Rail transport on the Rawalpindi-Peshawar section was suspended for many hours due to the accident as well.

The 300 passengers on board train number 19UP remained safe and there was no damage to the locomotive.

According to railway officials, the train derailed as it was about to enter the Attock Railway station. A rescue train later removed the derailed vehicle so that rail transport could be restored.
