THE Khairpur Medical College in Sindh is affiliated with the People’s Medical University, Benazirabad. But this college has not been registered by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) so far.

This college has more than 300 students but lacks basic facilities for students like a hostel for boys. Over 200 boys have been living in rented rooms in the city and have been paying hefty rents.

Moreover, this college lacks the canteen. Owing to this, students have to eat unhygienic food in restaurants.

Compared to other government medical colleges, the fee structure of this college is too high. The Sindh health department should look into this matter.
