PESHAWAR: The customs officials on Tuesday seized 180 mobile phones of different brands from a passenger at the Bacha Khan International Airport here.

According to a statement, passenger Mohammad Waqas Javaid of Peshawar, who had arrived at the airport from Dubai via a private airline, had concealed the mobile phone sets in his luggage. The price of the mobile phones is stated to be in millions of rupees.

It was stated that the non-custom-paid mobile phone sets had been recovered during the routine checking. The precious mobile sets had been kept in different cavities of the baggage which were seized and the accused person was arrested under the relevant law.
