Heavy snowfall that has been continuing in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Shangla district for three days has turned the weather cold and restricted the residents of hilly areas to stay indoors.
Nevertheless, children rejoiced on hills covered with a blanket of snow in Shangla, even as the precipitation made getting around difficult.
Meanwhile, Murree and its adjoining areas received six inches of snow on Tuesday after a long dry spell. A large number of tourists thronged the hill station and engaged in snowball fights.

Congrats on the snow but people are perhaps not dressed properly for this weather as someone already pointed out.
Also the snow ought to not merely be in Muree but also reach Karachi . It snowed in Houston recently.

Sir they are local people and their ancestor have been wearing these types of clothes for thousands of years and survived . I know you are impressed by Western style clothing and Imported product. P.S Pakistani love our National dress Shalwar and Kameez and love to wear it all the time.

Not only snow, but wind also plays vital role for cold temperature (this we call "WIND CHILL" here in Canada). It is right now -18 and wind chill -24 in my city at 8:30 a.m.)

After living for a long time in the West, it makes me wonder what JOY means to people in Pakistan. I don't see any happiness on peoples faces on movements (in the pictures).

Alright people, understand that its Pakistan, people wear shalwar kameez, during winter, they wear jackets or heavy blankets, it is what it is, for most, that's all they can afford, its not like they can run to a near sporting goods store and buy NIKE jackets.
Look closely, no one is complaining, they all have smiles on their faces, why are we complaining about the wardrobes. just appreciate the beauty, lot of people here in United States think we are a huge desert.

Last time I went to Murree was back in like 1970, I was 7 years old, it looks just as beautiful as ever. Thank you DAWN for always bringing back great memories for unlucky guys like me who has nothing left in Pakistan except memories from ages ago.

Beautiful Pakistan ....Jeans and padded jacket rather than shalwars are better in cold weather like this. Business thought for Costco or Walmart.
