ISLAMABAD, May 2: The Pakistan tennis team who won three gold medals and a bronze at the Islamic Games will be honoured by President Gen Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad on Tuesday, officials said. President of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Syed Dilawar Abbas said that it was likely that the team would be given a cash award of Rs3.5 million for their fine achievement.

At the Games held in Saudi Arabia, Aisamul Haq bagged three gold medals with Aqeel landing a bronze, Pakistan’s only medals where their athletes took part in 10 disciplines. Among others accompanying the team to the President House will be head of the Olympic association, Lt Gen Syed Arif Hasan and the director general of Pakistan Sports Board, Brig Arif Siddiqui.
