HARIPUR: Three passengers, including a man and his son, were killed while four women injured in separate road accidents, police said here on Friday.

They said a car on way to Jhari Kass from Haripur collided with a passenger van coming from Hasan Abdal near Qureshi Mor.

The car driver, Shahid Mehmood, his father Mohammad Miskeen, died on the spot, while another relative later identified as Gulfreen Bibi was injured critically.

Three women from the van were also hurt.

The injured and dead were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, Haripur, from where a critically injured woman was referred to Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad.

The second road accident occurred on Tareen Abad Road Hattar where a speeding dumper truck hit a man crossing the road, killing him on the spot.

The victim was identified as Nazakat.
