LAHORE: Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy and Islamabad all won their respective matches in the ongoing 64th National Hockey Championships in Sukkur on Thursday.

A brace by Mudassar and a goal each from Adnan, Mushtaq and Alamgir saw PAF register a 5-3 triumph against Higher Education Commission, who scored through Mohammad Abid, Amar Ahmad and Ashar Tariq. Navy edged past Pakistan Railways after a close encounter which saw Hamza Waheed score the only goal.

Islamabad romped to a 4-1 victory over Gilgit-Baltistan as Muneeb hit a double and Zainulabidin and Umar Mujtaba adding one apiece with Imtiaz Ahmed getting on the scoresheet for the losers.

In Wednesday’s late matches, Wapda thrashed Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited 4-0 while Sui Southern Gas Company overcame Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited 3-2.
