PESHAWAR: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq has said that ‘Madina model’ will be replicated in the country as father of the nation wanted to make Pakistan an Islamic ideological state.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of student talent awards here at University of Peshawar on Thursday, he urged the youth to play their role in making developed and corruption free Pakistan, said a statement.

Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT), the student wing of JI, had organised the event.

Senator Sirajul Haq distributed medals among the students, who obtained top positions in examinations.

JI chief says father of the nation wanted an Islamic ideological state

He said that Muslims of Sub-Continent rendered matchless sacrifices and Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah wanted to establish an Islamic ideological country in the name of Pakistan.

He pledged that ‘Madina model’ would be replicated in the country.

He said that JI would follow the vision of father of the nation.

Sirajul Haq said that JI was a movement not a party, which had talent and capacity to solve issues of the people.

He said that family system would be strengthened while parents, teachers and women would be given their due status in the society.

He said that the existing system in the country had failed and urged youngsters to get rid of that corrupt system.

The JI chief promised introducing uniform education system and interest-free economy besides eradicating of all taxes if JI came to power in the next general elections.

He also promised provision of quality education and health facilities and establishment of libraries and laboratories across the country.

Sirajul Haq said that Islam had framed agenda for the eradication of poverty.

He said that Zakat and interest-free economy were very important. He said that people were paying 47 different taxes but they got no facilities.

Criticising US President Donald Trump’s new policy for Middle East, the JI chief said that leaders of Muslim countries did nothing for the liberation of occupied territories. He said that President Trump recognised Jerusalem as capital of Israel after consultation with the heads of 12 Islamic countries.

“Trump could not dare recognising Jerusalem without making prior consultation with heads of 12 Muslim countries,” he said, but did not disclose names of the heads of the states.

Sirajul Haq said that heads of Islamic countries should launch joint strategy from the platform Organisation of Islamic Countries for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and other occupied territories.
