JOHOR BAHRU: Pakistani girls put up a brilliant show to clinch a silver medal in the under-17 badminton event on the opening day of the Students Olympic Asian Games 2017 at Larkin Stadium here on Saturday. The three-day Games ar being held from Dec 22-24.

In the under-19 boys badminton event, Pakistan clinched a bronze medal.

YB Dato Zulkurnain Bin Haji Kamisan, Minister of Youth Sports, Johor Bahru State, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.

Also present on the occasion were Maqbool Arain, President Pakistan Students Olympic Association, Dr. Vinar, President Students Olympic of India and Dr. Pardeep Secretary Students Olympic Council of Asia.
