PARACHINAR: American drones continued violation of Pakistan’s airspace and fired missiles at a moving vehicle in Kurram Agency on Tuesday, killing two suspected militants, sources said.

They said that the vehicle was targeted in Mata Sanger near the Afghan border, south of Parachinar town. Two people in the vehicle were killed. One of the deceased was identified as Commander Jamiuddin.

It was the sixth US drone strike in Kurram Agency during the current year. Over 40 people have been killed in such strikes. Compounds, including a mosque and a seminary, have been targeted in Ghuzgarhi and adjacent Mata Sanger.

Residents said that drones had been hovering over the Kurram Valley for the last two days. They said that four drones were flying deep in Kurram when missiles were fired at the vehicle in Mata Sanger on Tuesday.

“Drones were hovering over Parachinar and adjacent areas that panicked people,” said one resident, adding that two loud booms were heard in the area amid movement of the planes.
