Chabahar and Gwadar

Published December 29, 2017

RECENTLY, Iran invited India to control the operational section of the Chabahar port.

The presence of India in Iran will always be disturbing for Pakistan, as is the case in Afghanistan.

Our diplomacy to convince Iran not to engage India has failed. We are losing a trustworthy country which always assisted us in the hour of need. We need a vigourous policy at this time to regain Iran’s trust and check India’s penetration into the region.

Pakistan should properly convey its concerns to Iran in the best possible way to avoid inevitable troubles.
